Originally intended as a limited edition re-interpretation of my 2020 album "Scordatura" for MiniDisc release only, now released digitally.

For me personally the notion of an album has always seemed wholly static and rigid in many ways. I have a distinct memory of film directors stating that when Blu Ray technology was readying for commercial release, that the huge storage capacity would allow alternate film angles of the same scene - that is to say the viewer at the press of a button on their remote-control could switch to different camera angles within the one active scene. In reality this never eventuated but it has always been a notion that has been appealing to me both in the audio and visual realm. Why can't an album exist in more than one form as if from two entirely different perspectives?

In essence this version of "Scordatura" is exactly that, a slight re-imagining of some of the songs from the original album, with some sidetracking in altogether different directions and others transforming from a blurred and dreamy abstraction of an initial idea (The Huntsman, Vows II) into perhaps more conventionally structured pieces.
